General Policy

Guaranteed Minimum Occupancy - We require a 50-person adult minimum on any event.  Should your number fall below 50 people, you will be charged 100% of the package price for 50 people.  There are different minimums for each banquet room, and a 19.00 per person charge applies for each person below the required minimum occupancy of your room. Due to safety & fire codes, you may not exceed the maximum occupancy of your room.
Final Payment, Details and Menu - A final guaranteed count attending, details, menu selections, and final payment are due to our office 7 days prior to your event date.  Michaud’s accepts Visa or MasterCard.  You may only apply a maximum total amount of $2000 on credit cards to your account. If any additional charges are incurred after the balance is paid, you will be re-billed.  Michaud’s will be prepared to handle an additional 5% over the guaranteed number of guests given with a maximum of 10 guests.  If the number of guests exceeds this number, extra set-ups will be charged at $10.00 per person and the host will be charged 100% for the additional guests, the menu selections will not be guaranteed for these guests. If you are having assigned seating with place cards, your chart must be in our office 7 days prior to your event date.  We do not supply place cards for your guests. We will number the tables with standard written table numbers. Your chart must coincide with your final guaranteed count.
Food and Beverage.- The customer can take a portion of the (if any) “left over” entrées home after your event, if containers are supplied to our banquet staff.  You must supply your own containers.  You may only take the entrees home with you due to health codes. Salads, pastry, appetizers, vegetables or potatoes may not go home with you. We do not allow any food, with the exception of a cake, to be brought into the facility. Michaud’s will not store your cake in our coolers.  Michaud’s will not place your flowers on your cake.  Please arrange that with your florist and your baker.  Cakes may be brought in after 12 noon the day of your event.  Pastry can also be brought in; you must rent the display tables from us to do so.  Michaud’s is not responsible for cutting, preparing, displaying or storing your pastry in our coolers. Bring your own paper plates and have it ready to serve. You must provide your own liquor, beer, wine, and champagne. You must take all liquor, beer, wine and champagne home after your event.
Date/Room Changes.- Date or room changes can be made without penalty if 180 days written notice is given.  If you change your date or room with less then 180 days, a fee of $35 will be billed to your account.  If you wish to change your style of service, we must be given at least 7 days written notice prior to your event.
Cancellations/Refund.- If you need to cancel your event, you must do so in writing.  Michaud’s will retain your full booking deposit until your date and room is re-contracted.  Michaud’s will retain $200 of your booking deposit if your room is re-contracted. Michaud’s will retain your entire booking deposit if your room is not re-contracted. If you have given us at least 180 days written cancellation notice, and you have made your 2nd or 3rd 10% payment we will be happy to send these back to you. If you have made your 2nd or 3rd 10% payment and give us less then 180 days written notice, your date and room needs to be re-contracted in order to receive these payments back.  You must call us to receive any refunds.  Refunds will be mailed to you within 30 days. After your final details, you may not decrease the number of guests, only add more. There is no refund if your number of guests falls below what you were expecting on your evening.
Prices are guaranteed -All prices listed on our menus are guaranteed once the contract has been signed and you have paid your 10% deposit. All our prices already include service charge and applicable sales tax..
Liability - Michaud’s Towne n’ Country cannot be held responsible and assumes no responsibility for damage or loss of articles left in any banquet room.  The host or group is responsible for any and all damages to our property by any of its guests.
Overtime - The latest ending time for bar and music is midnight. Overtime charges begin if your party goes beyond your bar & music ending time listed on your contract.  If you decide not to have overtime, you must be out of your room ½ hour after your bar and music ends. One hour of overtime is $600, which must be paid in cash.
Legal - Michaud’s reserves the right to redecorate, repaint, or reconstruct any of our banquet rooms or outside in our courtyard or parking lot at anytime we deem necessary. Michaud’s reserves the right to decline certain services in any of our banquet rooms as well as to withdraw from this agreement if client changes any of the event elements already agreed upon at your final appointment. Michaud’s reserves to right to book any of our rooms on any date that isn’t already booked for another function. Michaud’s is fully licensed and insured.
