1 Should we schedule appointments?
We humbly request that you schedule an appointment for us to serve you better. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (12noon – 7pm), Saturdays (10am – 4pm). No appointments on Wednesday and Sunday.
2 Can we supply our own alcohol & beer?
At Michaud’s you must supply your own alcohol & beer.  You will enjoy the economic advantage by doing so.  This will save you thousands of dollars.
3 Since we have to supply our alcohol, when can we bring it in?  What about bartenders?
You may bring in your alcohol the day of your event.  Special arrangements can be made to bring it in the day before.  Do NOT pre-cool any beer, liquor, wine, or champagne.  Bring it in warm.  Only your wine and champagne may be placed in our coolers.  Bartenders are supplied with your package. They will handle all of your alcohol, and beer cooling needs.
4 Are there any restrictions as to what kind of alcohol or beer we may bring in?
You may bring in bottles or cans. All of which will be poured into glasses or cups.  Michaud's does not allow you to bring in Keg Beer on premises. If you would like your guests to have “shots” please supply our bartenders with your own plastic shot cups.
5 When are we able to decorate, bring in favors, guest books, moneyboxes, etc?
If your room is not booked for the prior evening, you may come in and decorate the day beforehand during normal office hours.  If it is booked, you may drop your decorations off to us with special instructions, and we will place them for you at no charge.
6 Are there any limitations on decorating?
We ask that no balloon arch be placed in hallways, in entrances or exits to rooms.  If you bring in your own centerpieces and they contain candles, they must be “contained”.  No open candles or flames are allowed.  Only flame resistant materials are acceptable.  Michaud’s does not allow confetti, birdseed, sparklers, smoke machines, or any type of pyrotechnics.  Nothing can be stapled, nailed, taped, or tacked into walls, and nothing can be hung from chandeliers or from the ceilings.  Any damage done or “special” cleanup involved will result in you or your group being billed.  Michaud’s must approve any decorating.  If you are unsure about something, please call us or bring it by our office and we will work with you.
7 Can Michaud’s provide centerpieces?
You can rent centerpieces from Michaud’s.  We offer glass globes with clear or colored water of your choice with floating candles in many different colors.  We also have silk flower arrangements which can be presented in a clear or frosted vase.  You can also rent mirrors for under your centerpieces or ours.  Some of our packages already include centerpieces.  Sorry, there are no price reductions if you decide not to use your package given centerpieces.
8 What color are the napkins and tablecloths?
Michaud’s provides all white or ivory crisp linen tablecloths and white or ivory linen napkins at no charge.  We also offer a huge variety of colored napkins, and we have many different colored overlays for your tables.  These are a slight additional charge.
9 Can we have special seating arrangements with place cards?
Yes, but your chart must be in our office 7 days prior to your event date.  Your chart must coincide with your final guaranteed count.  We do not provide place cards.  We will number the tables with standard written table numbers. Our office must approve all charts.  Michaud’s reserves the right to decline any types of service or setup in any of our banquet rooms.
10 When are all of the details due?
A final guaranteed count attending, final details, menu selections, and final payment is due to our office 7 days prior to your event date.
11 Why are your prices of odd amounts?
Our prices are of odd amounts because gratuities and applicable sales tax is already configured into our prices.  What you see is what you pay, no hidden charges.
12 How do we book a room and date with Michaud’s?
After you find a room, a date, and decide upon one of the many services that suit you, all that we need is a 10% deposit of the estimated bill, and your signature. Any and all deposits are applied toward your final balance.
13 Can we have ice sculptures, chocolate fountains, chair covers, or any type of “specialty decorations”?
You may rent these types of decorations from outside providers.  This will save you money ordering directly from the supplier.  We will provide tables for these decorations if needed, at no charge.  But, Michaud’s is in no way responsible for any type of “setting up” these types of decorations.  (Remind them to bring extension cords.)  The company you rented from is responsible for its set-up and proper operation, storage and pickup of equipment.  Ice sculptures cannot be carved here on site.
14 Is Michaud’s a smoking or non-smoking facility?  
Michaud’s will be a non-smoking facility starting December 8, 2006.  Our huge outside courtyard area is available for smoking.
15 Does Michaud’s supply security?
Michaud’s provides armed, trained police officers. Your safety is our 1st priority.
16 Does Michaud’s accept credit cards?
Michaud’s accepts Visa or MasterCard.  You may only charge a maximum total of $2000 to your account on credit.
17 Does Michaud’s offer food samples?
Yes, Michaud’s offers food samples on Saturday afternoons between 3 – 4pm.  Please call the week before to confirm a sampling.  Although we don’t guarantee the exact items you would like to sample we will try our best to do so.  There is a slight charge for each sample.  After you book with us, we provide you with a certificate good for one free sample and include 2 entrée’s and 2 sides. There is a slight charge for each additional sample that you order.
18 What are children’s prices?
Children 4 years of age and older are full price.  Children 3 years of age and younger are free of charge.  We do not have a specific children’s menu, but we have food items on our menus that you can add on for them if you would like to.
19 Will Michaud’s change prices on us after we book?
All of Michaud’s prices are guaranteed for you once the contract has been signed and you have paid your deposit.  There are no “hidden costs”. Our packages already include sales tax and gratuity in the dinner fee. You will know exactly what you are paying for and what you are getting.  Honesty and integrity are the cornerstones of our business.
20 Can we take food home?
The customer can take a portion of the (if any) “left over” entrées home after your event, if containers are supplied to our banquet staff.  You must supply your own containers.  You may only take the entrees home with you due to health codes. Salads, pastry, appetizers, vegetables or potatoes may not go home with you.
21 Can we bring food, or our own caterer?
You may not bring your own caterer.  We have a complete in-house catering service along with 5 kitchens and bakeshop. We do not allow any food, with the exception of a cake, to be brought into the facility. Michaud’s will not store your cake in our coolers.  Michaud’s will not place your flowers on your cake.  Cakes can be brought in after 12 noon the day of your event. You may bring in some pastry. If you want to bring in some of your own pastry, you have to rent the tables from us for it to be displayed upon.  Michaud’s is not responsible for cutting, preparing, displaying or storing your pastry in our coolers. Bring your own paper plates and have it in trays, ready to serve.
22 Can we have our ceremony on site?
For a modest fee, you may have your wedding in our courtyard area, or you may have your wedding in the banquet room where your reception is being held.  See our “Have Your Wedding with Us! “  Sheet for complete details.  You must supply your own officiate or clergy.
23 Is Michaud’s handicap accessible?
In some area’s, Michaud’s is a multi-level facility and is handicap accessible with the use of our lift.  Our parking attendants will direct your guests to the proper entrances into our facility.  Once inside, hostesses will direct your guests to your banquet room.
24 What about Friday or Sunday discounts?
We offer a 10% discount on all buffets, and 5% discount on Family Style and Sit-Down service…This excludes the Hors D’oeuvre Buffet and 4 hour packages.
